In this activity, students will collect data on all members of the class. They will make a graph of the data collected, interpret variations, and then draw conclusions.
The teacher decides what data will be measured and collected by the class. It will then be added to the class list. Students will find the mean and median of the class’ data using their handheld calculator.
Students then extrapolate what they learned about variation in their class to animals like zebra in the wild.
