In this activity, students simulate a Punnett square of a cross between two heterozygous individuals and produce a histogram. They compare actual and expected results of genetic crosses.
Students use the random number generator to create lists that will contain the alleles for each of the 200 gametes of two parents and then combine the lists to represent 200 offspring.
Students then use the Sci Tools App to simulate a Punnett Square by representing the data generated in a histogram and then make predictions about the offspring.
