$250 — Summit registration includes:

  • TI-84 Plus CE Python graphing calculator and TI-SmartView™ CE emulator software for the TI-84 Plus graphing family.
  • Continental breakfast and lunch



What to expect from your T³™ Regional Summit:

  • Attend a total of four sessions featuring hands-on, interactive professional learning on the topics of your choice.
  • Receive TI technology and training materials.
  • Receive a Certificate of Attendance which may be accepted for school or district professional development credit. TI Education Technology professional development may satisfy Licensure Renewal Requirements.
  • We will follow local protocols and safety recommendations and request that all attendees do the same for the health of all in attendance.
  • In the event the summit is canceled, all registrants will be notified as soon as possible and registration fees will be refunded in full.

9:30 – 11:00 a.m. | First morning sessions


Session 1 | Digital SAT® Test Success With the TI-84 Plus CE, Part 1

  • Learn ways of utilizing the TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator to drive student success on the digital SAT® exam.
  • Become familiar with the main topics of the digital SAT® exam, review the adaptive format of the test, discuss strategies for helping students better understand key content, and practice techniques for teaching with the TI-84 Plus CE.
  • Explore how to effectively use the TI-84 Plus CE in key categories such as Algebra, Problem-Solving, Data and Statistics, and Functions.

Session 2 | Valuable Tips for the TI-84 Plus CE and TI-SmartView™ Emulator Software

  • Get an overview of the TI-84 Plus CE along with the basic computation, graphing and functionality.
  • Learn how to easily use the TI-84 Plus CE as an evaluator of complex expressions, trace on a graph and table simultaneously, quickly evaluate the quadratic formula, store window settings, and investigate transformation graphing with lists.
  • Get tips on how to utilize the TI-SmartView™ software.

Session 3 | Exploring Topics in AP® Precalculus and IB® Mathematics With the TI-84 Plus CE - Polynomial and Rational Functions

  • Discover how the TI-84 Plus CE can deepen student understanding of rate of change, end behavior, asymptotes and function transformations.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in these mathematical practices for AP® Precalculus and Topic 2 - Functions from the IB® Mathematics syllabi (both Analysis and Approaches as well as Applications and Interpretation).

Session 4 | Integrating TI Technology for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Students - Student Discourse, Part 1

  • Learn how activities and resources can be integrated in a CLD classroom using the TI-84 Plus CE.
  • Use strategies that promote meaningful discussions that increase student engagement and learning.
  • To renew professional licenses in Colorado, this session can be used toward the 1.5 clock hours for 5.12 (2) Quality Standard IV: Educators are knowledgeable in the teaching strategies, including methods, materials, and assessment for CLD students.



11:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Second morning sessions


Session 5 | Digital SAT® Test Success With the TI-84 Plus CE, Part 2

  • Learn ways of utilizing the TI-84 Plus CE to drive student success on the digital SAT® exam.
  • Explore how to implement test preparation strategies in the mathematics classroom.
  • Discover activities that reinforce technology skills and deepen student understanding of key topics.
  • Note: This session is a continuation of Session 1 but can be taken independently to learn how the TI-84 Plus CE can be used as an effective tool on the digital SAT® exam.

Session 6 | Enhance Student Engagement in Integrated Math 1/Algebra Topics With the TI-Innovator™ Rover

  • Put students in the driver seat for their own learning of mathematics with the TI‑Innovator™ Rover.
  • Make graphs come to life by exploring the relationship between motion and a linear graph.
  • Make connections and enhance conceptual understanding of systems of equations and intersection of lines by determining when two Rovers might crash.
  • Learn the basics of coding; no prior experience needed.

Session 7 | Exploring Topics in AP® Precalculus and IB® Mathematics With the TI-84 Plus CE - Exponential Functions, Logarithmic Functions and Regression

  • Use the TI-84 Plus CE to investigate the relationship between exponential and logarithmic functions, inverse and composite functions, and the concept of regression as a way to find a model for contextual data.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in these mathematical practices for AP® Precalculus and Topic 2 - Functions from the IB® Mathematics syllabi (both Analysis and Approaches as well as Applications and Interpretation).

Session 8 | | Integrating TI Technology for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Students - Written Representations, Part 2

  • Learn how activities and resources can be integrated in a CLD classroom using the TI-84 Plus CE.
  • Explore strategies for students to represent and explain their thinking.
  • To renew professional licenses in Colorado, this session can be used toward the 1.5 clock hours for 5.12 (2) Quality Standard IV: Educators are knowledgeable in the teaching strategies, including methods, materials, and assessment for CLD students.

Session 9 | Digital SAT® Test Success With the TI-84 Plus CE, Part 1

  • Learn ways of utilizing the TI-84 Plus CE to drive student success on the digital SAT® exam.
  • Become familiar with the main topics of the digital SAT® exam, review the adaptive format of the test, discuss strategies for helping students better understand key content, and practice techniques for teaching with the TI-84 Plus CE.

Session 10 | Exploring Topics in AP® Statistics and IB® Mathematics With the TI-84 Plus CE - Statistical Tests

  • Discover how the TI-84 Plus CE can deepen student understanding of the presentation of data through graphical representations including histograms, box and whisker diagrams, X2 goodness of fit, and t-tests.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in these mathematical practices for AP® Statistics and Topic 4 - Statistics from the IB® Mathematics syllabi (both Analysis and Approaches as well as Applications and Interpretation).

Session 11 | Exploring Topics in AP® Calculus and IB® Mathematics With the TI-84 Plus CE – Derivatives and Integrals

  • Discover how the TI-84 Plus CE can deepen student understanding of tangent line approximations, relationship between a function and its derivatives, and the relationship between integration and the area between a curve and x-axis.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in these mathematical practices for AP® Calculus and Topic 2 - Calculus from the IB® Mathematics syllabi (both Analysis and Approaches as well as Applications and Interpretation).

Session 12 | Using the Power of TI Technology to Create Inclusive Learning Environments - Student Supports, Part I

  • Implement practices using TI technology to promote the success of students with disabilities.
  • Develop strategies to encourage all students to understand and apply graphical applications.
  • Engage with the interconnected systems framework for positive behavioral interventions and support for students to enhance academic and social outcomes for all students.
  • This session can be used toward the 10 clock hours of training in special education and behavioral health to renew professional licenses in Colorado.



3:15 – 4:45 p.m. | Second afternoon sessions


Session 13 | Digital SAT® Test Success With the TI-84 Plus CE, Part 2

  • Learn ways of utilizing the TI-84 Plus CE to drive student success on the digital SAT® exam.
  • Explore how to implement test preparation strategies in the mathematics classroom.
  • Discover activities that reinforce technology skills and deepen student understanding of key topics.
  • Note: This session is a continuation of Session 9 but can be taken independently to learn how the TI-84 Plus CE can be used as an effective tool on the digital SAT® exam.

Session 14 | Exploring Topics in AP® Statistics and IB® Mathematics With the TI-84 Plus CE - Modeling and Regression Analysis

  • Discover how the TI-84 Plus CE can deepen student understanding of experimental design, sampling and assessing claims.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in these mathematical practices for AP® Statistics and Topic 4 - Statistics from the IB® Mathematics syllabi (both Analysis and Approaches as well as Applications and Interpretation).

Session 15 | Exploring Topics in AP® Calculus and IB® Mathematics With the TI-84 Plus CE - Applications

  • Discover how the TI-84 Plus CE can deepen student understanding of realistic optimization and kinematic problems.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in these mathematical practices for AP® Calculus and Topic 5 - Calculus from the IB® Mathematics syllabi (both Analysis and Approaches as well as Applications and Interpretation).

Session 16 | Using the Power of Technology to Create Inclusive Learning Environments - Problem Solving and Perseverance, Part 2

  • Implement practices using technology to enhance the learning of students with disabilities.
  • Develop strategies to encourage all students to problem solve in mathematics.
  • Engage with the interconnected systems framework for positive behavioral interventions and support for students to enhance academic and social outcomes for all students.
  • This session can be used toward the 10 clock hours of training in special education and behavioral health to renew professional licenses in Colorado.
