Can the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators display the square root symbol in the solution?
The TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators do not have the functionality to display radicals in the solution. This type of functionality can only be found on products that have the Computer Algebra System (CAS) such as the TI-89 Titanium or TI-Nspire CX II CAS.
Therefore, a square root symbol (radical) cannot be displayed in the solution.
